  Medispec’s targeting device is an optional part of the E3000 & E2000 Lithotripsy Systems.
The targeting arm is designed to hold an ultrasound probe for localization purposes.
It enables doctors to choose the adequate localization and monitoring method (X-Ray or Ultrasound) for each case, or a combination of both at the same time. Ultrasound imaging during treatments minimizes the need for X-ray exposure.

The ultrasound probe is not permanently attached to the E3000 & E2000 systems.
Therefore, the same ultrasound unit and probe can be used for non-lithotripsy purposes.
The Ultrasound Localiztion Unit can be rotated left and right, allowing an improved view of the kidney through an acoustic path between the ribs.
